About

INFUSION

All About Budd is a contemporary urban style non-dairy all-natural organic plant base smoothie smoke shop that started in Brooklyn NY, 2020 during the height of the pandemic when home deliveries were steadily climbing.

To help parents, young adults, entrepreneurs, writters, musicians, bloggers, gamers and ordinary people cope with staying home issues during the pandemic, the thought of infusing something old and new, then and now was absent. While working with produce & distribution companies during the lockdown/pandemic years, the all about budd idea was in the making.

The name All About Budd derived from an enviornment where marijuana usage was considered illegal coupled with experiencing all natural organic vegan based products. I took it a step further by infusing all natural organic fruits, with ice, hemp/cbd/thc and alcohol. The outcome is to stay healthy while naturally stimulating or hightening senses; or to simply…relax.

Lush is an old school term used to describe someone (mostly women at that time) who frequently drank alcohol. The combination of a lush drinking an all natural organic infused fruit drink, stimulated my intelectual loins and thus created icylush beverages aka lushwater and smoothies.

After selling a few assorted smoothies/lushables, the connection between product and people created somewhat of a following.

Organic

How food is grown or raised can have a major impact on the physical, mental and emotional health as well as the environment. Organic foods often have more beneficial nutrients, such as antioxidants, than their conventionally-grown counterparts and people with allergies to foods, chemicals, or preservatives may find their symptoms lessen or go away when they eat only organic foods.

Organic produce contains fewer pesticides. Chemicals such as synthetic fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides are widely used in conventional agriculture and residues remain on (and in) the food we eat.

Organic food is often fresher because it doesn’t contain preservatives that make it last longer. Organic produce is sometimes (but not always, so watch where it is from) produced on smaller farms nearer to where it is sold.

Organic farming tends to be better for the environment. Organic farming practices may reduce pollution, conserve water, reduce soil erosion, increase soil fertility, and use less energy. Farming without synthetic pesticides is also better for nearby birds and animals as well as people who live close to farms.

Natural

Natural and Organic products are relatives. We consider fruit “All Natural / ORGANIC” or “Natural” if it doesn’t have added colors, flavors, or artificial substances, and it hasn’t been processed.

The FDA allows foods that have even a tiny bit of fruit or fruit juice concentrate to say they’re made with real fruit. Plus, the fruit in the ingredients doesn’t have to be the same as the flavor on the label. Raspberry-flavored fruit leather can be made with strawberries and no raspberries.

Icylush use actual hand picked friut from top organic vendors. The best source of fruit is fresh, whole fruit, like apples, bananas, strawberries, blueberries and grapes. It has healthy, filling fiber and all of a fruit’s original nutrients. Icylush ingredients are straight forward and simple. Think about it, we simply blend distilled water and plants. Keep in mind, your selected blend will elevate you to the place of your content.

Infusions

Infusing this is what we do! It is also at the heart of repairing what has been damaged. How and when to infuse while maintaining taste and texture is key. It took quite some time to understand and balance the right infusions, but we finally did it. Today, we have totally mastered the art of infusion.  We’ve created four different types of ways to infuse.  Our smoothies, vegan ice cream, fruit cups and lushwater includes a % of alcohol, a % of distilled icewater, and a % of (herbals) cbd, hemp, or sativa, indica or hybrid. The fruits are infused with top shelf Vodka, Rum, Tequila, Gin, or with high grade herbals. Once you register or become a member, we have a chart that further explains the infusion options. Nonetheless, all smoothies are infused with 65% ice, 25% fruit, and 15% alcohol. The type of alcohol is already infused and paired with the smoothie, fruit cup, lushwater or the ice cream. The customer or patient would only need to choose the type of herbal extract to infuse. The herbals  have a chart that explains its effects once infused.

Infused Smoothies

Made with non dairy products

  • Distilled ice – distilled ice is purified water that has been frozen and then taken a further step into purity.
  • All natural organic fresh fruit – handpicked daily from top vendors
  • Alcohol – top shelf brands only
  • Herbal extracts – CBD, Hemp, Sativa, Indica, Hybrid

Infused Vegan Ice Cream

Made with non dairy products

  • Coconut milk at this point, it may seem that milk can be made from almost anything.  Oat milk and almond milk to even hemp milk. And while the concept of using other substances to create alternative milk options is still relatively new, coconut milk has been a staple in Southeast Asian cuisine for much longer. Made from, you guessed it, the juices found inside a coconut, coconut milk can be a rich addition to soups, ice cream, and smoothies, but it can also be enjoyed on its own as a milk substitute or poured in coffee or cereal. It’s an incredibly versatile beverage, it can be adapted for use in almost any recipe, and for those who love the flavor of coconut, it’s absolutely delicious.
  • Cacao butter – cannot be mistaken for cocoa butter or coconut butter or any other ingredient that may sound similar. It has to be cacao butter. It looks like white chocolate and comes in hard uneven pieces. We chop it up and melt it down for this recipe.
  • Coconut oil – you can use regular virgin coconut oil or switch it for refined coconut oil where the coconut flavor has been removed.
  • Raw Cashews – are soaked in hot water for an hour and then blended up with water to make a thick and ultra creamy cashew cream. This, together with the coconut milk creates the neutral creamy base for this ice cream.

Infused Fruit Water (Lushwater)

Distilled Water is purified water that has taken a further step into purity, like when a monk becomes the Pope. Purifying water gets rid of all the stuff you probably don’t want ot drink: heavy metal traces, chlorine, and chemicals that make your tap water taste vaguely like that time you accidentally swallowed a mouthful of the swimming pool. But it keeps the minerals that help you stay healthy. Distilled water says, “Hold up. I don’t want any of this!” and gets rid of pretty much everything. No chemicals, no nasty tastes – but no good stuff, either. Distilled water is made through the process of (surprise!) distillation. As you may remember from high school science projects, that’s the one where you boil water and collect the steam, which then cools and turns back into water.  If you distill water that has already been purified, the result is a distilled water purer than a basket of week-old kittens.

As a result, distilled is the water of choice for medical facilities and labs – the gold standard for good clean liquid. It’s purer than a nunnery. But does that mean you should make a habit of drinking lushwater, hell yeah!!

Infused Fruit Cups are marinated fruit infused for a period of time before placed in a cup with your choice of alcohol or herbal extract. Each cup is filled with a selectionof all natural chopped fresh fruit or veggies. Distilled ice water is essential and makes up about 70% of all product ingredients. Icylush smoothies, ice cream, lushwater and fruit cups are basically a blend of frozen distilled water, fruit and plant with a splash of alcohol. All fruits and veggies are handpicked from top organic vendors. We have a chart that explains which products to infuse.

Alcohol: is added to smoothies, ice cream, lushwater and fruit cups. Alcohol is a psychoactive drug that has been consumed in drinks for most of human history. In chemistry, the term alcohol refers to a whole class of organic compounds that include a hydroxyl group – consisting of an oxygen atom  and a hydrogen atom – bonded to a carbon atom. In common parlance, however, the word alcohol usually refers to a specific chemical with the fomula C2H50H, which chemists call ethanol.

There are different kinds of alcohol. Ethyl alcohol (ethanol), the only alcohol used in beverages, is produced by the fermentation of grains and fruits. Fermenting is a chemical process whereby yeast acts upon certain ingredients in the food, creating alcohol. Although classified as a depressant, the amount of alcohol consumed determines the type of effect. Most people drink for the stimulant effect, such as a beer or an infused fruit smoothie taken to “loosen up.” But if a person consumes more than the body can handle, they then experience alcohol’s depressant effect. They start to feel “stupid” or lose coordination and control.

Although Homer Simpson’s description of alcohol as “the cause of, and solution to, all of life’s problems” may not be entirely accurate, it encapsulates the drug’s ability to make people feel either very good or very bad. The individual involved, the amount of alcohol consumed and the social context all play a role in deterniming what effects it can have.

After you drink alcohol, it is absorbed into the blood, where it can travel to the brain. At low levels, alcohol typically makes people feel relaxed, animated and disinhibited. It can also impair coordination and judgement, which is why it is considered unsafe to drive after drinking alcohol.

Herbal Extracts

CBD: is added to your choice of smoothies, ice cream, lushwater or fruit cups. The CBD industry is flourishing, conservatively projected to hit $16 billion in the US by 2025. Already, the plant extract is being added to cheeseburgers, toothpicks, and breath sprays. More than 60% of CBD users have taken it for andiety, according to a survey of 5,000 people, conducted by the Brightfield Group, a cannabis market research firm. Chronic pain, insomnia and depression follow behind. Kim Kardashian West, for example, turned to the product when “feaking out” over the birht of her fourth baby. The professional golfer Bubba Watson drifts off to sleep withit. And Marth Stewart French bulldog partakes, too.

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is the lesser-known child of the cannabis sativa plant; its more famous siblisng, tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, is the active ingredient in pot that catapults users’ “high.” With roots in Cental Asia, the plant is believed to have been first used medicinally – or for rituals – around 750 B.C., though there are other estimates too. Cannabidiol and THC are just two of the plant’s more than 100 cannabinoids. THC is psychoactive, and CBD may or may not be, which is a matter of debate. THC can increase anxiety; it is not clear what effect CBD is having, if any, in reducing it. THC can lead to addition and cravings; CBD is being studied to help those in recovery. Cannabis containing 0.3 percent or less of THC is hemp. Although last year’s Farm Bill legalized hemp under ferderal law, it also preserved the Food and Drug Administration’s oversight of products derived from cannabis.

CBD is advertised as providing relief for anxiety, depressiona nd post-traumatic stress disorder. It is also marketed to promote sleep. Part of CBD’s popularity is that it purports to be “nonpsychoactive,” and that consumers cna reap health benefits from the plant without the high (or the midnight pizza munchies). Just as hemp seedlings are sprouting up across the US so is the marketing. From oils and nasal sprays to lollipops and suppositories, it seems no place is too sacred for CBD. “It’s the monster that has takenover the room,” Dr. Brad Ingram, an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Mississippi leading a clinical trail inot administering CBD to children and teenagers with drug-resistant epilepsy.

HEMP: is added to your choice of smoothies, ice cream, lushwater or fruit cups. Hemp seeds or oils are particularly rich in these healthy fats, including omega-6 fatty acids. Both of these fats are known for improving heart health by reducing cholesterol, blood pressure, and triglycerides. Adding hemp oil to your diet may reduce your risk of  hear probles in the future. Hemp has a notorious reputation primarily because of its close ties with marijuana. Although hemp and marijuana are types of cannabis plants, there are several key differences between the two. The marijuana plant has leaves that contain hiogh tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) content. THC is the main pyschoactive compound derived from cannabis which causes the euphoric “high” when consumed.

On the other hand, hemp is low in THC and is ofter incorporated for industrial use. Hemp is usually grown for its fibres but can also be consumed for various reasons. Quality hemp plants usually have a THC level of 0.3% or less. This amount of THC is not noticeable and does not cause psychoavtive effects when consumed. Meanwhile, marijuana plants can have a THC amount as high as 30% in total.

1. Hemp Contains Vital Nutrients

We’re already tackled the fibre and protein content of hemp seeds and oils. Fibre is essential as it helps improve digestive health. One study found that individuals with a high intake of dietary fibre had significantly less chances developing stroke, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and gastrointestinal diseases. Meanwhile, protein is essential for the body so it can produce the necessary hormones and enzymes to function optimally. The macronutrient is required by nearly every cell in the body. Protein contributes to developing healthy muscles, bones, skin and cartilage. As mentioned earlier, hemp seeds are rich in healthy fatty acids that are known to boost the immune system, enhance cellular health, and prevent a wide range of health issues. There are only a few plants, seeds, or nuts that can compete with the level of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids found in hemp. There are also other nutrition to be had from the hemp seeds, such as  potassium, vitamin E, iron, and clacium.

2. Hemp Is Beneficial To The Heart

The many essential nutrients that can be obtained from hemp are beneficial to the body. These benefits mean that the nutritional value provided can help prevent a range of health conditions. One of the most significant health problems nowadays is heart disease. The World Health Organzation (WHO) released a study in 2019 that showed cardiovascular disease to be the primary cause of death worldwide. This disease is a major killer, being mainly responsible for 16% of the world’s total deaths. The nutrition provided by hemp seeds – particular with omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids – benefit the heart by reducing cardiovascular problems. Fatty acids are known to enhance blood flow and arterial function while lowering heart rate and keeping it stable.

3. Hem Could Benefit The Brain

The heart isn’t the only essential part of the body that could benefit from a diet involving hemp. Scientists were able to prove that consuming omega-3 fatty acids are good for the brain and mental well-being.

THC: is added to smoothies, ice cream, lushwater and fruit cups. THC stands for delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol or ^-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (^-9-THC). It is a cannabinoid molecule in marujuana (cannabis) that’s long beenrecognized as the main psychoactive ingredients that is, the substance that causes people who use marijuana to feel high. THC is just one of the more than 400 different active substances – and 60 different cannabinoid molecules – contained in marijuana, although THC is the most recognized. Another important cannabinoid molecule that has received major interest is cannabidiol (CBD).

THC works by attaching to the body’s cannabinoid receptors, which are found throughout the brain and nervous system. THC can be detected in the body much longer than most other drug compunds (up to 20 hours after ingestion), although the psychoactive effects only last for a few hours.

THC is also stored in body fat and organs for three to four weeks. Hair follicle testing may identify THC after even longer periods of time, around 90 days. Urine testing is often used but has been found to be an ureliable method of detection.

THC is often smoked as marijuana (dried leaves of the Cannabis plant), but there are actually a number of different ways that THC can be used. It can be consumed by:

Inhalation: This is the fastest method of delivery and produces the quickest psychoactive effects, with people beginning to feel effects within minutes. There are a couple of different ways that THC can be inhaled. It may be smoked or vaped, although recent reports suggest that vaping may pose safety risks that need further investigation.

Oral Ingestion: THC can be taken by mouth in the form of capsules, edibles, tinctures, or oils. While this method of delivery takes longer to have an effect, the effects tend to last longer.

Topical application: THC can also be included in lotions, balms, slaves, oils, and bath salts that are then applied to the skin. The effects of this method of application are usually localized, which means they are unlikely to have psychoactive effects. However, such products may be helpful for reducing pain and inflammation.

Sublingual administration: THC can also be consumed as lozenges, sprays, or dissolvable strips that are placed under the tongue.

THC is recreationally, but it also has a number of medicinal uses as well. Marijuana has been used for medicinal purposes for thousands of years, but research on its use to alleviate and treat illness is still relatively recent.

Someof the ailments that THC may help include:

Anxiety

Depression

Glaucoma

Inflammation

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)

Insomnia

Irritable bowel syndrome

Migraines

Multiple sclerosis

Muscle spasticity

Nausea

Pain

Poor appetite

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)

Reducing opiod use

Seizures

Symptoms associated with HIV/AIDS

INDICA: is added to your choice of smoothies, ice cream, lushwater or fruit cups. Indica, aka “in da couch,” gives you more of a body buzz as opposed to a heady high, and leaves you more relaxed. Oddly enough, indica strans tend to have a lighter THC concentration than sativa, even though they result in a more “stoned” sensation. Indica is a classification of marijuana known for its relaxing and therapeutic qualities. Scientifically, indica is referred to as Cannabis indica, and these strains can offer sleepiness and relief to those suffering from chronic pain. Indica strains can also promote appetite and reduce nausea.

SATIVA: is added to your choice of smoothies, ice cream, lushwater or fruit cups. Sativa is another classification of marijuana strains. The leaves of this subspecies of marijuana plant are lighter in color and narrower than their counterparts. Cannabis made from these plants is associated with a stimuating effect that gives users a buzz, or an upbeat type energy. Users looking for a “head high” or invigorated feel tend to stick to sativa while those hoping for a “full body high” or dep relaxation ten to favor indica.

The bottom line: sativa typically refers to marijuana that will give a more uplifting, stimulating buzz while indica is traditionally associated witha mellow feel.

HYBRID: is added to your choice of smoothies, ice cream, lushwater or fruit cups.  As the name suggests, this plant represents a hybrid combination of both plants. On the recreational front, the hybrid is prized for the fact it combines important attributes of both styles of strain. Hybrid strains will give off a variety of effects because each hybrid is a cross between two different strains, meaning the effects are created by the two different parent marijuana strains.

That’s why when you’re picking out cannabis, regardless of it being indica, sativa or hybrid, you need to look at the chemical composition of the strains and its THC/CBD percentage. Now with legalization of the rise, most cannabis is getting tested for it’s exact chemical makeup so you know how strong the bud your smoking or ingesting is. That’s why when you’re picking out cannabis, regardless of it being indica, sativa or hybrid, you need to look at the chemical composition of the strain and its THC/CBD percentage.

The world of cannabis is richer in science than the average onlooker might at first suspect. As you refine your marijuana habit and examine all of your options, you will find that modern flower is classified as there differents types: Indica, Sativa & Hybrid.
